...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING... ...WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED... * WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Bayfield and Douglas Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. * WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...Localized whiteout conditions are possible due to falling and blowing snow creating visibility around 1/4 mile, especially along Highway 2 and State Route 13 on the South Shore. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Call 511 or visit www.511wi.gov for Wisconsin road information. Lake effect snow bands and showers are expected to create conditions ranging from locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly.
