At 647 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 8 nm west of Port Washington to near Bayside to 6 nm west of Milwaukee, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large destructive hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Port Washington. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southeastern Wisconsin...and the adjacent waters of Lake Michigan. A section of Alpine Road near the Sheboygan Airport is closed. There is flooding in parts of River Park in Sheboygan Falls and Esslingen Park in Sheboygan. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 8.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.9 feet tomorrow morning.
