Air Quality Alert
Issued: 8:17 PM Jun. 4, 2026 – National Weather Service
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality
Advisory for the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee,
Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie and Winnebago.

WHAT...The Ozone AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive
Groups (Orange) level.

WHERE...Eastern Wisconsin.

WHEN...Until 11 p.m.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
Sensitive groups: Do not do long or intense outdoor activities.
Schedule outdoor activities in the morning when ozone is lower.
Consider moving activities indoors.

People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep
quick-relief medicine handy.

Everyone else: Reduce long or intense outdoor activity. Take more
breaks, do less intense activities. Schedule outdoor activities
in the morning when ozone is lower.

Additional Details:
Unhealthy (Red) AQI ozone will be possible within the lake breeze
from Sheboygan south to Kenosha. These ozone concentrations will
be confined to the lake breeze, which should struggle to push
inland given the breezy SSW flow. Inland of the lake breeze and
further north along Lake Michigan and Green Bay, Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups (Orange) AQI ozone is expected.
