...Gusty Winds This Afternoon... Strong westerly winds will gust 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon behind a cold front. Be prepared for difficult travel, especially for high profile vehicles traveling on north to south oriented roads. Secure any loose objects that may be blown due to the gusty winds. In addition, patchy blowing and drifting snow may occur in unsheltered areas where fresh snow has fallen.
