For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, heavy freezing spray at a rate of 2 cm per hour or greater expected, and may rapidly accumulate on vessels. * WHERE...Duluth MN to Port Wing WI, Port Wing to Sand Island WI and Sand Island to Bayfield WI. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 4 PM CST Friday. For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, from 4 PM this afternoon to 4 AM CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of stability. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area or conduct mitigation. Anyone operating a smaller vessel should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions. &&

For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 degrees below zero possible. * WHERE...Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the Red Cliff Band. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. * WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 6 PM this evening to noon CST Friday.
