In south central Wisconsin, Columbia, Dane, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock and Sauk. In southeast Wisconsin, Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff and ponding of water may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain may fall tonight with expected heavy rain from thunderstorms. Water from the Wisconsin River backs into Hulburt Creek causing floodwaters to affect the backyards of some businesses in downtown Wisconsin Dells near Highway 13. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.8 feet. - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood && River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations. Other roads that are flooded are River Oaks Road in the Town of Dekorra, River Shores Road in the Town of Lewiston, Levee Road, Wood Street, Summit St, Conant St and parts of Thunderbird Road in the Portage area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 18.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.7 feet Friday morning.
