...GALE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...North winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
waves 6 to 11 ft possible.

* WHERE...Chequamegon Bay-Bayfield to Oak Point WI, Sand Island
to Bayfield WI, Oak Point to Saxon Harbor WI and Outer Apostle
Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TUESDAY TO MIDNIGHT CST
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 8 and
14 inches except between 12 and 16 inches for northern Bayfield
County. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Bayfield and Douglas Counties. This includes the Tribal
Lands of the Red Cliff Band. Other locations including the Apostle
Islands National Lakeshore.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to midnight CST Wednesday Night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A corridor of locally higher snowfall amounts
are possible somewhere in the watch area. Blustery winds gusting
up to 35 mph may result in areas of blowing and drifting snow.
