...SHOWERS APPROACHING AND OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
Lake Michigan nearshore and open waters to mid lake from Sheboygan WI
to Winthrop Harbor IL...

At 657 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers, capable of producing
winds to around 30 knots. These showers were located along a line
extending from 10 nm southwest of Oshkosh, to near Port Washington,
to Winthrop Harbor, moving east at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Sheboygan, Port Washington, North Point Lighthouse, Wind Point and
Winthrop Harbor, as well as the adjacent open waters of Lake
Michigan to mid lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally
higher waves with the showers. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these showers pass.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Fox River Lower near New Munster.

* WHEN...Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water is up to the first floor levels of
some homes in the Town of Wheatland and Village of Salem Lakes
area along Riverside Drive and Shorewood Drive.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 4:00 PM CDT Saturday was 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.6
feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage early Thursday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
12.6 feet on 02/22/1997.
