...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN GRANT COUNTY THROUGH
700 PM CDT...

At 616 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Bankston, or 11 miles west of Dubuque, moving
northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Dickeyville around 635 PM CDT.
Platteville around 645 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Kieler, Lock And Dam
11, Sandy Hook, Louisburg, Platteville Airport, Big Patch, Sinsinawa,
Tennyson, Georgetown, and Cornelia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Grant County in southwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 610 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Expect hourly rainfall rates up
to 2 inches in. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain fell earlier in the
day. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lancaster, Boscobel, Fennimore, Muscoda, Cassville, Bloomington,
Preston, Beetown, Arthur, Montfort, Wauzeka, Livingston,
Centerville, Orion, Mount Ida, Ellenboro, Blue River, Glen Haven,
Bagley and Union.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

possible today.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Iowa, including the following
counties, Clayton and Fayette and southwest Wisconsin, including
the following counties, Crawford, Grant and Richland.

* WHEN...Through 7 PM.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Potentially 2 to 4 inches of rain with localized totals up to
5 inches in southwest Wisconsin and parts of northeast Iowa
through the afternoon.
