Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches except between 3 and 5 inches for northern Iron County. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bad River Reservation, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band and the Red Cliff Band. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. * WHEN...From noon Thursday to 6 AM CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Lake effect snow bands and showers are expected to create conditions ranging from locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly.
