...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON MONDAY TO 7 PM CDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with daytime heat index values up to 106 each day and overnight heat index values only in the upper 70s expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin. * WHEN...From noon Monday to 7 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heat index values along the lakeshore will be a few degrees cooler, but still expecting higher heat index values just inland from Lake Michigan. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside.
