...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 10 and 26 inches except between 13 and 25 inches for
northern and east-central Ashland County and between 18 and 30
inches for northern Iron County. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Ashland and Iron Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands
of the Bad River Reservation and the northwestern area of the Lac
du Flambeau Band. Other locations including Madeline Island.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening
commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY HAS EXPIRED...

* WHAT...North winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and waves
8 to 13 ft. Waves 2 to 5 feet for Chequamegon Bay and the inner
Apostle Islands.

* WHERE...Chequamegon Bay-Bayfield to Oak Point WI, Sand Island
to Bayfield WI, Oak Point to Saxon Harbor WI and Outer Apostle
Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
