...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED ACROSS NORTHERN WISCONSIN TODAY... Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across northern Wisconsin late this morning through the afternoon. Mild temperatures near 60 degrees, low relative humidity around 25 percent and southeast winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph are anticipated. Rain showers will arrive early this evening over these areas, bringing some relief to the fire concerns. Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills, smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have the potential to throw a spark and ignite a wildfire. Burning restrictions will likely be in place, so be sure to heed any restrictions that are in effect for your county.
