For the Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and hazardous seas 14 to 18 ft at 15 seconds and southwest winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt expected. * WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar. * WHEN...Gale Warning, until 10 PM PST this evening. Hazardous Seas Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 7 AM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...First ebb current of 4.43 kt at 349 AM Wednesday. Seas 9 to 11 ft. Second very strong ebb current of 7.39 kt at 406 PM Wednesday. Seas 14 to 18 ft. Third ebb current of 4.27 kt at 435 AM Thursday. Seas 12 to 16 ft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels.
