* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 15 to 20 kt
with gusts to 25 kt. For the Gale Watch, south winds 20 to 30
kt possible.

* WHERE...Puget Sound and Hood Canal.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 8 AM Saturday to
midnight PST Saturday night. For the Gale Watch, from late
Saturday night through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased, but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 8:55 PM Jan. 2, 2026 – National Weather Service
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 8 AM PST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding expected. Inundation of 2 to 2.5
feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-
lying coastal areas.

* WHERE...Lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish
Counties, Downtown Everett / Marysville Area, Shoreline /
Lynnwood / South Everett Area, City of Seattle, Lowlands of
Pierce and Southern King Counties and Island County zones.

* WHEN...From 4 AM to 8 AM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Minor coastal flooding due to tidal overflow is
expected around high tide. This may lead to flooding of
parking lots, parks, and roads, with only isolated road
closures expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

Inundation above ground level refers to the height above the Mean
Higher High Water (MHHW) level.
