...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington, including the following counties, in northwest Washington, Clallam, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, San Juan, Skagit and Whatcom. In west central Washington, King, Lewis, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston. * WHEN...From late Sunday night through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An atmospheric river moving into the region early next week will bring periods moderate to heavy rain to the region. Sharp rises will be possible on area rivers, especially those flowing off the Olympics and Cascades. Urban and small stream flooding is possible for areas with poor drainage. Inundation of 1.75 to 2 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low- lying coastal areas. For the second Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding expected. Inundation of around 2 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas. * WHERE...San Juan County, Lowlands of Western Whatcom County and Lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish Counties zones. * WHEN...For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, until 10 AM PST this morning. For the second Coastal Flood Advisory, from 5 AM to 11 AM PST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor coastal flooding due to tidal overflow is expected around high tide. This may lead to flooding of parking lots, parks, and roads, with only isolated road closures expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Coastal flooding will occur in the hours around high tide, at around 800 AM Saturday and 900 AM Sunday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. ...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST THIS MORNING... ...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...For the Gale Warning, southwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt. For the Small Craft Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 25 kt. * WHERE...Northern Inland Waters Including The San Juan Islands. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 10 AM PST this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 AM this morning to 7 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be strongest along the southern portions of the San Juan Islands and into Bellingham Bay. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions. &&
