...GALE WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM PST THIS MORNING... ...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...For the Gale Warning, southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts to 35 kt. For the Small Craft Advisory, southwest winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts to 25 kt. * WHERE...Puget Sound and Hood Canal. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 AM PST this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 AM this morning to 4 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions. &&

In west central Washington, King, Lewis, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston. * WHEN...From late Sunday night through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An atmospheric river moving into the region early next week will bring periods moderate to heavy rain to the region. Sharp rises will be possible on area rivers, especially those flowing off the Olympics and Cascades. Urban and small stream flooding is possible for areas with poor drainage.
