...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Lower Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest. * WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy, wet snow will continue into late this afternoon, becoming more dry and light through the remainder of the evening. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded. Do not touch downed lines and report any power outages to your electric company.
