...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected to continue. Delayed mud and rockslides in steep terrain will remain a threat due to very saturated ground. * WHERE...A portion of North Central Washington, including the following counties, Chelan and Okanogan. * WHEN...Until 500 PM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Saturated soils may lead to delayed mud and rocks coming down steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 753 AM PST, The area has received between 1.5 and 4 inches of rain with excessive snowmelt over the last 36 hours. Temperatures remain above freezing with snow melt continuing in the mountains. Rivers and creeks have crested but remain very high. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.15 inches possible along the immediate Cascade crest in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Leavenworth, Merrit, Holden Village, Chumstick, Stehekin, Stevens Pass, Grouse Creek Campground, Lake Wenatchee Campground, Cottonwood Campground, Telma, Trinity, White Pine Campground, Silver Falls Campground, Plain, Winton, Riverside Campground, Fox Creek Campground, Tumwater Campground, Lake Creek Campground and Lucerne. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Be cautious near recently burned areas. Rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas.
