ZONES 703, 705, AND 706...

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 1 PM Tuesday to 8 PM PDT Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch
is no longer in effect.

* Affected Area: Okanogan Valley (Zone 703), Foothills of
Central Washington Cascades (Zone 705) and Waterville Plateau
(Zone 706).

* Winds: Tuesday: West 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph
increasing 30 mph in the evening. Wednesday: West 20 to 30 mph
with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Relative Humidities: 8 to 15 percent on Tuesday. 18 to 27
percent on Wednesday.

* Impacts: Rapid fire spread is likely with any new fires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

* WHAT...High temperatures of 97-105 degrees expected.

* WHERE...Omak, Wenatchee, Alpowa Summit, Harrington, Bridgeport,
Nespelem, Pomeroy, Cashmere, Wilbur, Entiat, Number 2 Canyon,
Grand Coulee, Waterville, Coulee City, Clarkston, Tonasket,
Othello, Mansfield, Ephrata, Chelan, Number 1 Canyon, Oroville,
Moses Lake, Quincy, Okanogan, Brewster, Badger Mountain Road,
Creston, Ritzville, Disautel Pass, Pangborn Airport, and Odessa.

* WHEN...From 11 AM to 9 PM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
