* IMPACTS...At 10,000.0 cfs, River flooding may occur upstream of
the A Street Bridge in the City of Auburn. River levels will
likely be up against the temporary flood protection barriers, with
flooding likely at Government Canal and Butte Avenue in the City
of Pacific and downstream of the Stewart Street Bridge in the City
of Sumner.

- At 3:45 PM PST Wednesday the flow was 10,200.0 cfs.
- Flood flow is 7,500.0 cfs.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours

Snoqualmie corresponds to a phase 4 flood in the King County flood
system.

- At 2:15 PM PST Wednesday the flow was 63,200.0 cfs.
- Flood flow is 20,000.0 cfs.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours
ending at 2:15 PM PST Wednesday was 63,200.0 cfs.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 77,500
cfs late tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood
stage late tomorrow evening.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

overtop some levees. Erosion could cause serious damage and
channel changes may occur.  Flooding will occur all along the
river including headwaters...tributaries...and other streams
within and near the Tolt River Basin. This river level on the Tolt
corresponds to a phase 4 flood in the King County flood system.

- At 1:15 PM PST Wednesday the flow was 5,980.0 cfs.
- Flood flow is 5,000.0 cfs.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12,200

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 60.4
feet late tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood

especially in Maple Valley.  Flooding will occur all along the
river including headwaters, tributaries, and other streams within
and near the Cedar River Basin.  A stage of 7.5 feet on the Cedar
River corresponds to a phase 4 flood in the King County flood
system.

- At 2:15 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 7.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 5.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:15 PM PST Wednesday was 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.4
feet late tonight. Then slowly below flood stage Sunday. This

- There is no current observed data.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5
feet late tomorrow morning. The river will slowly fall  below
flood stage Sunday.This forecast is based on current dam

the middle Green River valley with water over SE Green Valley Rd.
Some backwater inundation is possible in lower Mill Creek basin
between Auburn and Kent. A flow of 9000 cfs feet on the Green
River corresponds to a phase 3 flood in the King County flood
system.

- At 1:45 PM PST Wednesday the flow was 9,650.0 cfs.
- Flood flow is 9,000.0 cfs.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours
ending at 1:45 PM PST Wednesday was 11,800.0 cfs.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
afternoon to 8,570 cfs late this evening. It will then rise
above flood stage tomorrow morning to 9,314 cfs late tomorrow
evening. It will fall below flood stage again early Friday
afternoon. This forecast is based on current dam operational

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...In the foothill areas of northwest and west central
Washington, including the following counties, in northwest
Washington, Skagit and Whatcom. In west central Washington, King
and Snohomish.

* WHEN...Until 400 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1237 PM PST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 3
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 4 to 6 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Everett, Sedro-Woolley, North Bend, Gold Bar, Carnation,
Darrington, Concrete, Index, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass,
Deming, Sammamish, Monroe, Snoqualmie, Enumclaw, Duvall,
Sultan, Granite Falls, Skykomish and Rockport.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1208 PM PST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in South Fork
Skykomish River. Between 6 and 10 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flooding is occurring along the South Fork
Skykomish River.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Skykomish and Baring.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington,
including the following counties, in northwest Washington,
Clallam, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, San Juan,
Skagit and Whatcom. In west central Washington, King, Lewis,
Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston.

* WHEN...Through Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains
and ditches may become clogged with debris. Area creeks and
streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- An atmospheric river will continue to impact the area through
much of the week and bring periods moderate to heavy rain to
the region. Sharp rises are occurring on area rivers,
especially those flowing off the Olympics and Cascades.

Urban and small stream flooding is possible for areas with
poor drainage.

Saturated soils will bring increased potential for landslides
and debris flows on burn scars.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

...HEAVY RAINFALL THIS WEEK WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASED THREAT OF
LANDSLIDES IN WESTERN WASHINGTON...

Rainfall of up to 8 to 10 inches over the past several days has
increased antecedent soil moisture to high levels across western
Washington. Additional heavy rainfall of 1 to 4 inches across the
lowlands and 4 to 10 inches over the Olympics and Cascades is
expected through late Wednesday. Wet and unsettled conditions are
also favored to continue through the rest of the week. This amount of
rain will put extra pressure on soil instability, leading to an
increased threat of landslides and debris flows, especially from
recent burned areas.

A mudslide was reported along I-90 Monday evening near North Bend,
causing highway closures and extensive delays. More landslides are
possible.

Areas most susceptible to landslides debris flows under these
conditions are steep coastal bluffs, other steep hillsides or
road cuts, and recent burned areas. A diminishing threat of
landslides and debris flows will continue for several days after
the rain ends.
