This will pose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness. * WHERE...Portions of North and North Central Idaho and Central, East Central, North Central, Northeast, and Southeast Washington. * WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM PDT FRIDAY FOR THUNDERSTORMS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 704... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 704... * Affected Area: Methow Valley (Zone 704). * Lightning: 20 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms through 2 AM Friday. Gusty and erratic outflow winds up to 40 mph possible in any thunderstorms. * Winds: Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph Saturday. * Relative Humidities: 13 to 27 percent. * Impacts: New fire starts from lightning Thursday. Air Quality Alert

An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology Colville Confederated Tribes Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan, Douglas, Garfield, and Asotin Counties and continues for Spokane, Whitman, Adams, Ferry, Lincoln, Okanogan, Grant, Adams, Whitman, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties, through Friday, July 24th at 11 AM, due to current and expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) levels are expected to range in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups and Unhealthy categories. In Eastern Okanogan County near active wildfires, air quality may reach Very Unhealthy to Hazardous levels. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.
