* WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected. Isolated gusts up to 70 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of North and North Central Idaho and Central,
East Central, North Central, Northeast, and Southeast Washington.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of North Central Washington, including the
following counties, Chelan and Okanogan.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high
and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is an increased risk of rock and mud slides in areas of
steep terrain and near burn scars, especially in areas with
saturated soils from previous recent rainfall.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Stehekin River at Stehekin.

* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, The river may be out of its banks in spots
on parts of Stehekin Valley Road and Company Creek Road,
especially from Harlequin Bridge to about seven miles upstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 AM PST Tuesday the stage was 24.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:30 AM PST Tuesday was 25.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river will remain steady just above its flood
stage of 24 feet today. It will then see another rise Tuesday
night to near 25 feet before starting to recede Wednesday
afternoon. The river is forecast to fall below its flood
stage Wednesday night.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
