* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Washington,
including the following areas, in central Washington, Kittitas
Valley, Simcoe Highlands and Yakima Valley. In south central
Washington, Lower Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest
and Upper Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest.

* WHEN...Through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high
and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Flooding is expected to continue on the Naches and Yakima
Rivers.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is currently happening and will remain
through Friday morning. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Naches River near Naches.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, There will be major flooding of residences
along the river from Cliffdell downstream through Naches to the
north end of Yakima.  There will be significant flooding in
pastures and orchards.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 20.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:45 PM PST Wednesday was 20.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early
Saturday morning to 16.4 feet late Monday morning. It will
then rise to 17.6 feet Tuesday afternoon. It will fall to
16.5 feet Thursday, December 18. It will then rise above
flood stage Friday, December 19.
- Flood stage is 17.8 feet.

farm building, county roads and highways from Selah downstream to
Prosser.

- At 11:30 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 PM PST Wednesday was 12.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 12.6 feet late this
morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow
evening to 7.1 feet Monday afternoon. It will rise to 8.5
feet Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall to 8.2 feet
Thursday, December 18. It will then rise again but remain
below flood stage.
