In south central Washington, Lower Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest and Upper Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Naches River near Naches. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, There will be major flooding of residences along the river from Cliffdell downstream through Naches to the north end of Yakima. There will be significant flooding in pastures and orchards. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 20.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 PM PST Wednesday was 20.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early Saturday morning to 16.4 feet late Monday morning.
