...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 10 PM PDT SATURDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 699, 700, AND 704... * Affected Area: Okanogan Highlands and Kettle Mountains (Zone 699), Selkirk Mountains of Northeast Washington (Zone 700) and Methow Valley (Zone 704). * Winds: Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts around 20 to 30 mph. Winds shifting northwesterly Saturday evening for the Methow Valley. * Relative Humidities: 14 to 25 percent. * Impacts: Gusty winds and low humidity Saturday may lead to rapid fire spread with any new or ongoing fires. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
Air Quality Alert

An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology Colville Confederated Tribes Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan, Douglas, Garfield, and Asotin Counties and continues for Spokane, Whitman, Adams, Ferry, Lincoln, Okanogan, Grant, Adams, Whitman, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties, through Friday, July 24th at 11 AM, due to current and expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) levels are expected to range in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups and Unhealthy categories. In Eastern Okanogan County near active wildfires, air quality may reach Very Unhealthy to Hazardous levels. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.
