FOR THE PALOUSE ALONG AND EAST OF HIGHWAY 195...

* WHAT...Snow expected for the Palouse along and east of Highway
195. Total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches.

* WHERE...Oakesdale, Plummer, Tekoa, and Rosalia.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Expect winter travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures have warmed above freezing for
areas of southeastern Whitman County and Latah County and are not
expected to cool overnight leading to low chances for wet snow to
accumulate and have impacts.  Greatest probabilities for snow
accumulations and impacts to travel will be far northeastern
Whitman County, southeastern Spokane County, and into Benewah
County.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rain is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Idaho, including the following counties,
Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce and Southeast Washington, including the
following counties, Asotin, Garfield and Whitman.

* WHEN...From 11 PM PDT this evening through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Atmospheric river will bring heavy rain to the area through
Saturday. Most locations can expect one to two inches with
low chance of 3 inches. Precipitation in the form of snow may
limit the flooding potential.

* IMPACTS...At 9.2 feet, Water will be out of the creek at the
intersection of Bridge Street and Hillcrest Drive and may also be
flowing into the intersection at this stage. Flooding near Damen
Street.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:45 PM PDT Thursday the stage was 7.6 feet.
- Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late tomorrow morning.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Palouse River near Potlatch.

* WHEN...From late Friday night to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Water will be up to the back door at the
city shop in Palouse. Water will approach the home on Main Street
near Hayton Greene Park. Lions Club Park in Palouse will be
submerged and water will be around the playground at the Hayton
Greene Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 PM PDT Thursday the stage was 9.3 feet.
- Forecast...Flood stage may be reached early Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
