4 AM PST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Rough bar conditions expected. Seas 9 to 12 ft at 15
seconds and southwest winds 5 to 15 kt expected

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 AM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft,
especially when operating near to, or attempting to cross, the
Columbia River Bar.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong ebb current of 5.68 kt at 405 PM
Monday. Seas 8 to 9 ft. Ebb current of 3.96 kt at 435 AM
Tuesday. Seas 10 to 11 ft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wave conditions are expected to
be hazardous to small craft in the vicinity of the Columbia River
Bar. Mariners are advised to obtain the latest bar conditions
from the United States Coast Guard before attempting to cross the
bar.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY
NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Sneaker waves possible.

* WHERE...North and Central Coast of Oregon, and South
Washington Coast.

* WHEN...From late Monday night through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than
normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can
suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them
into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or
drowning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Caution should be used when in or near the
water, especially those who will be razor clamming. Keep
children and pets away from the surf zone. Keep off of jetties,
rocks and logs near the surf zone. If you see someone swept into
the sea do not swim in after them. Call 911 and keep an eye on
them until help arrives.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
