...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Stehekin River at Stehekin.

* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, The river may be out of its banks in spots
on parts of Stehekin Valley Road and Company Creek Road,
especially from Harlequin Bridge to about seven miles upstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 PM PDT Friday the stage was 25.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will crest near 25.5 feet late this
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday Night.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
25.6 feet on 06/21/1982.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by snowmelt is forecast.

* WHERE...A portion of North Central Washington, including the
following county, Chelan.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas is
expected due to small stream flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 253 PM PDT, Snow melt along with areas of rain near the
Cascade crest is leading to sharp rises on rivers and streams
in Chelan county.  Small streams are expected to crest Friday
evening and then fall overnight.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wenatchee, Chelan, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Chumstick, Merrit,
Holden Village, Stehekin, Sunnyslope, Plain, Winton
