...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 10 PM PDT SATURDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 101, 701, 708, AND 709... The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 10 PM PDT Saturday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * Affected Area: Northern and Central Idaho Panhandle (Zone 101), Foothills of Northeast Washington (Zone 701), Eastern Columbia Basin -Palouse -Spokane Area (Zone 708) and Lower Palouse -Snake River (Zone 709). * Winds: West/Southwest winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Highest wind speeds on the West Plains, Eastern Columbia Basin, and foothills of the Blue Mountains. * Relative Humidities: 14 to 25 percent. * Impacts: Gusty winds and low humidity Saturday may lead to rapid fire spread with any new or ongoing fires.
