...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST THIS MORNING... ...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 10 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds 15 to 25 kt. For the Gale Warning, south winds 25 to 35 kt, becoming west in the evening. * WHERE...East Entrance U. S. Waters Strait Of Juan De Fuca. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 4 AM to 10 AM PST Monday. For the Gale Warning, from 10 AM to 10 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions. &&

...HEAVY RAINFALL MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASED THREAT OF LANDSLIDES IN WESTERN WASHINGTON... Rainfall of 1 to 4 inches over the past several days has increased antecedent soil moisture to high levels across western Washington. Heavy rainfall of 2 to 6 inches across the lowlands and 4 to 10 inches over the Olympics and Cascades is expected Monday morning through late Wednesday. This amount of rain will put extra pressure on soil instability, leading to an increased threat of landslides and debris flows, especially from recent burned areas. Areas most susceptible to landslides debris flows under these conditions are steep coastal bluffs, other steep hillsides or road cuts, and recent burned areas. A diminishing threat of landslides and debris flows will continue for several days after the rain ends. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM PST MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington, including the following counties, in northwest Washington, Clallam, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, San Juan, Skagit and Whatcom. In west central Washington, King, Lewis, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston. * WHEN...From 4 AM PST Monday through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An atmospheric river moving into the region early this week will bring periods moderate to heavy rain to the region. Sharp rises will be possible on area rivers, especially those flowing off the Olympics and Cascades. Urban and small stream flooding is possible for areas with poor drainage.
