...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR VERMONT... The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low humidity, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...All of central, eastern and northern Vermont, including the Northeast Kingdom and Champlain Valley. * Timing...The lowest humidities and strongest winds will occur between 1 PM and 8 PM on Sunday. * WINDS...South 15 to 25 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 30 to 40 percent, but localized higher values across the central Green Mountains. * TEMPERATURES...Highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. * Impacts...If any fires were to start the weather and fuel conditions could cause fires to quickly get out of control and be difficult to contain. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions may occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings. Remember, a debris burn ban is in effect for all of Vermont which means no open burning of debris is allowed. &&
