...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST MONDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 10 and 18 inches on northwestern slopes. * WHERE...Washington, Orleans, Eastern Chittenden, Eastern Franklin, and Lamoille Counties in Vermont. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause isolated power outages. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Snowfall amounts will be dependent on elevation with more snow expected across higher terrain. Watch for rapidly changing road conditions if traveling in mountainous terrain.
