* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 25 kt
with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 3 to 4 ft expected. For the Gale
Watch, north winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and seas 4
to 6 ft possible.

* WHERE...Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-
North Carolina border out to 20 nm and Coastal waters from NC
VA border to Currituck Beach Light NC out 20 nm.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 PM EDT Friday.
For the Gale Watch, from late Friday night through Saturday
afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.
