Please see the new Flood Watch for further information. && ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of central and northwest Virginia, including the following areas, in central Virginia, Greene. In northwest Virginia, Madison, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge and Rappahannock. * WHEN...From 6 PM EDT this evening through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is an increased potential for flooding given saturated soils from last week's major flooding event. The heaviest rains will likely fall this evening.
