The City of Richmond in central Virginia... * Until 130 AM EDT. * At 1130 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Richmond, Bon Air, Chester, Moseley, Chesterfield Court House, Bensley, Bellwood, Chesterfield, Pocahontas State Park, Beach, Midlothian, Centralia, Drewrys Bluff, Winterpock, Richmond Heights, Skinquarter, Holly Hills, Clayville and Meadowville.
