...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Up to two to three feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...In Maryland, Inland Worcester County. In Virginia, Accomack and Northampton Counties. * WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through late Thursday night. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour. For the Gale Watch, northeast winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 9 to 14 ft possible. * WHERE...Coastal waters from Fenwick Island DE to Chincoteague VA out 20 NM and Coastal waters from Chincoteague to Parramore Island VA out 20 NM. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM EDT Tuesday. For the Gale Watch, from Tuesday evening through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
