In northern Virginia, Culpeper, Southern Fauquier and Stafford. In northwest Virginia, Madison and Rappahannock. * WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 10 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms will develop and move across the area this afternoon to evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, with amounts of 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes possible. Widespread totals around 1 inch are forecast, with up to 2 to 4 inches of rain under the strongest storms.
