For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, heavy freezing spray at a rate of 2 cm per hour or greater expected, and may rapidly accumulate on vessels. * WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA, Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA, Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA and Chesapeake Bay from Little Creek VA to Cape Henry VA including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. * WHEN...For the Storm Warning, from 6 AM this morning to 1 AM EST Sunday. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of stability. ...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM SATURDAY TO 10 AM EST SUNDAY... ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 9 PM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 8 below expected. For the High Wind Warning, northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Northampton and Accomack Counties. * WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 6 AM Saturday to 10 AM EST Sunday. For the High Wind Warning, from 8 AM to 9 PM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The cold wind chills as low as 8 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
