A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD... Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD... At 148 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a front, capable of producing winds to around 20 to 25 knots. This front was located along a line extending from 34 nm west of Key Bridge to 30 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park to 35 nm west of Aquia Creek, moving east at 40 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 20 to 25 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. &&
