At 500 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Bellwood, or near Chester. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Bellwood around 505 PM EDT.
Chesterfield Court House around 510 PM EDT.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, eastern, north central,
south central, and southeast Virginia.

* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening.
For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 7 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.
