...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT FOR ROANOKE...EAST CENTRAL GILES...SOUTHERN CRAIG...SOUTHWESTERN BOTETOURT AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES...THE CITY OF SALEM AND THE CITY OF ROANOKE... At 437 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Laymantown to near Salem to near Sinking Creek to near Waiteville, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Roanoke... Blacksburg... Salem... Christiansburg... Vinton... Pembroke... and Troutville.
