...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT FOR CHESTERFIELD, SOUTH CENTRAL HENRICO AND SOUTHEASTERN POWHATAN COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF RICHMOND... At 1039 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Richmond, Bon Air, Chester, Moseley, Chesterfield Court House, Bensley, Bellwood, Chesterfield, Pocahontas State Park, Beach, Midlothian, Centralia, Drewrys Bluff, Winterpock, Richmond Heights, Skinquarter, Holly Hills, Clayville and Meadowville.
