morning. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating
smaller vessels, should exercise extra caution if navigating the
waters during this time.

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EDT
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low
lying areas due to tidal flooding.

* WHERE...Shoreline in the City of Alexandria and Arlington
County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT Friday, especially around the time of
high tide.

* IMPACTS...Water is expected to approach the curb near the
intersection of King Street and Strand Street in Alexandria.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two and a half to three feet above
normal. The next high tides at Alexandria are 2:30 PM and 2:43
AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
