...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Montgomery County in southwestern Virginia... Northeastern Pulaski County in southwestern Virginia... The City of Radford in southwestern Virginia... Roanoke County in west central Virginia... The City of Roanoke in west central Virginia... The City of Salem in west central Virginia... * WHEN...Until 830 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 545 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen since Saturday evening. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Back Creek, Bonys Run and Big Bear Rock Branch. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
