At 323 AM EST, snow showers were located along a line extending from near Pasadena to near Hallowing Point to near Fredericksburg to near Free Union. Movement was southeast at 45 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with these snow showers. Locations impacted include... Arlington, Alexandria, Stafford, Columbia, Waldorf, Dale City, Bowie, Severn, Charlottesville, Annandale, Annapolis, Clinton, Springfield, College Park, Crofton, Fredericksburg, Fort Washington, Greenbelt, Langley Park, and Beltsville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 in Maryland between mile markers 1 and 42. Interstate 97 in Maryland between mile markers 1 and 8. Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this dangerous snow squall. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are likely to lead to accidents. For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of central, northern, and northwest Virginia. * WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 4 AM Saturday to 10 AM EST Sunday. For the Wind Advisory, from 4 AM to 7 PM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
