...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham and Stokes and Virginia, including the following counties, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Botetourt, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Floyd, Franklin, Halifax, Henry, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Roanoke and Rockbridge. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Expect moderate to heavy rain due to scattered showers and thunderstorms on today and tonight.
