SATURDAY NIGHT FOR DRY THUNDERSTORMS AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 495 AND 497...

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red
Flag Warning for dry thunderstorms and gusty outflow winds, which
is in effect from noon Friday to midnight MDT Saturday night. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 495 Color Country West
Desert and Fire Weather Zone 497 Mojave Desert.

* WINDS...Friday and Saturday, southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Friday and Saturday as low as 5 percent with
little to no recovery Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any
new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
