...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM MST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream and river flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Utah, including areas along the
Santa Clara River upstream of Baker Reservoir in Washington
County, such as Pine Valley.

* WHEN...Until 515 AM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding and loose debris in low-lying and poor
drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1123 PM MST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pine Valley.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
