At 511 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of Capitol Reef National Park...specifically Pleasant Creek, Burro Wash, Cottonwood Wash, Five Mile Wash, and Sheets Gulch. Between 0.5 and 1 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
