The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Garfield County in southern Utah... * Until 815 PM MDT. * At 514 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Escalante River, Phipps Wash, Tunnel Slot Canyon, Harris Wash, Wolverine Canyon, Little Death Hollow, and Spencer Flat Road. Up to 0.7 inches of rain have fallen west of the Escalante River, with heavy rain spreading eastward. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, slot canyons, and normally dry washes. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
